Prof. Yuri Makar, a distinguished Ukrainian academician and spokesman for Polish-Ukrainian reconciliation, member of the CIRSA Programme Council, was awarded the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland by the President of the Republic of Poland. Professor Makar received the award during the conference in Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski.
